Enchanted Garden Hinged canvas

What you need:
C52004,007,008
MC52001
2x 8x8 canvas
1 hinge
gesso
mixed flowers from stash
lace
brown ink


Instructions:

1. Prep canvas with gesso
2. Cut C5004 8x8 adhere to canvas ink and distress edges one adhered
3. Cut B side of C5004 and adhere to frame side of canvas, cut 007 to a 6x6 square and insert into middle on canvas.
4. Attach hinge to each canvas in middle
5. Cut picture to 4x4 and mount on C5008 4.5x4.5 then adhere to 6x6 square in middle on canvas place lace under 6x6 matt.
6. Cut blue bird fromC5008 attach in bottom corner of canvas2
7. Cut and distress moments tag from MC52001 and attach to bottom on canvas 1
8. Cluster and adhere flowers down left side and bottom
9. Paint gesso over high point of canvases

For This LayoutYou Will Need

• FabScraps Marie Antionette Collection paper range: DC53
• Our special day :DC53018
• MC5DC12 Marie Antionette paper flowers
• Lavender cardstock 12 by 12 sheet x2
• Lace
• White paint
• Brown ink
• Large white flower
• 3 4x6 pictures 1 3x4 and 2 3x3

Instructions

1. Trace a large circle onto C53 007 Purple Tea Party side B diameter of 12, then cut out circle and ink edge of circle with brown ink.

2. Then from C50 001-008 cut 20 3x2 rectangles then ink half side a and half b.

3. Add lace to circle on underside of circle,then attach circle to lavender 12 by 12 with an over lap of 2inches slice off over hang of circle and attach to page 2

4. Paint Our special day :DC53018 with white paint.

6. Add 5 rectangles down right side of page one starting one inch down then leaving 1/2 inch between each rectangle

7. then on left side of page 2 add rectangles down side 2 inches in as per right side 5 rectangles down each with 1/2 inches gap this process is repeated 3 times, creating 3 rows.

8. add large flower to bottom left of lavender page slightly over lapping rows of bottom rectangles.

9. Make 2 flowers from MC5DC12 Marie Antionette paper flowers add either side of white flower.

10. Add pictures per display

11. Add Our special day :DC53018 above 4x6 landscape picture on page 2

Your project is now complete.

 

FabScraps @ Paperific Melbourne

Hi everyone, I know its been a while since  I have blogged  wow life has been busy. Last week I was in Melbourne for Paperific with Fabscraps, all  I can say is Wow what an experience Bridgett and Jamie made me feel right at ease and part of the FabScrap team.

It was a busy four days as we intruduced Australia to FabScrap products, lots of make and take projects were done and  we meet lots of lovely people.

I had such an amazing time in Melbourne thanks to Naomi  and the team at paperific.

FabScraps Mini Album C50 summer collection (sneak Peek)

 

For This Mini Album You Will Need

• FabScraps Summer Colection C50
• Die cut Journal book MC50
• DC 50 001 album
• DC50018 Beach time
• DC50009 lifesaver
• Brown ink ,white kraft ink
• foam tape
• Vanilla and kraft cardstock
• Seam binding washi tape from my stash.

Instructions

1. Cover pages of album in range of C50 Summer collection.

2. Distress all edges of pages and then ink all edges with the brown ink.

Front cover : After chipboard has been covered with C50004 cut a 6 by 6 square of C50005 and distress and edge square. then cut a 5 by 5 vanilla cardstock square distress and edge square lay on top of C50005 centered then mount picture in middle of cardstock with edges distressed. Paint DC500018 beach time white and adhere once dry on bottom of picture.then cut small triangle 1 inch in all diferent scraps from paper collection and lay out on a pice of twine and glue down to create own bunting to lay out over cover.

Page 1 : Cover page with C50005 Choose two pictures mount on C50002 and place on page, then add Beach friends MC from journal book ink and distressing before mounting on foam tape on bottom right. Paint DC0009 Lifesaver in red and white, add twine to create texture, add completed lifesaver to right middle next to top mounted picture.

Page 2 : Cover page with C50005 c ut an 1 by 8 inch strip of C50006 lay across middle of page. Cover a 5by 5 square of paper in C50003 then a 4 by 4 in C50002 lay on top of C50003 then mount picture in centre. Add tag and holder from MC50 to bottom right of picture.

Page 3. Cover page with C50001 , use wheel sheet cut at 6 by 4 from MC50 mount picture in center. then cut rectangles 3 by 1.5 then cut one side of rectangles to create tags add dyed seem binding for decoration, place under right side of mounted picture.

Page 4. Cover page C50001 cut a 6 by 4 pice of C50008 distress and ink all edges mount picture, place paper and picture on left side on page on slight angle. place tage and case from MC50 on top right ander place Beac sign from Mc50 distressing and inking all edges and place on foam tape.place on bottom of placed tage and case slightly over hanging on picture.

Page 5. Cover page C50006 Cut light house out of paper and mount with foam tape to add hieght, cut 4, 6 by 6 kraft matts join by top left corner with a brad allowing matts to swivel addhere each matt with a 4 by 4 sqaure of C50 collection paper mount picture on each matt in centre of matt, slide completed matts behind raised lighthouse on bottom right.

Page 6. Cover Page C50003 Cut piece of MC50 6 by 4 mount picture in centre, then add tag and cover to bottom left add seam binding to top of tag,

Page 7 Cover page C50005 page finished as is back page.

Add 3 colours of seam binding torings and two pieces of washi tape one to each ring folded and a fish tale cut in each piece. then add some twine. add chain with charms on to rings, one charm is an accetate piece covered in C50006 .

FabScraps C50 Summer Collection (sneak peekproject)

Beach wallet foldout : By Geordie Morgan

For This Foldout You Will Need

• FabScraps summer Collection paper range: C50
• DC50015 Anchor
• MC50 collection tags and cut outs
• seam binding
• bakers twine, eyelets x2
• various paint and mist from stash.

Instructions

1. You will need one piece of C50004, u will cut score at 2 and 7 inches top to bottom,then 4 and 8 across creating 9 pannels. Cut the top right and top left pannels leaving one 4 by 2 pannel which will create your flap over.

2. You then choose and cut pictures to place on pannels , cut 7 pictures to fit pannels and then mounted them with a small amount of paper showing behind each picture, using paper from the collection C50

3. Then in empty pannels you will place tags from the MC50 tags seam binding is then added to top of tags and journaling is added on tags.

The 12 by 12 sheeet then folds up from the bottom to the top,from the outside right to left to right and then the flap closes over top, an eyelet is added to top pannel and middle bottom pannel and bakers twine is used for closure. This is a quick simple and easy to do project.

Your project is now complete.

 

SNEAK PEEK C50 Summer Collection

FabScraps C50 summer collection shadow box

For This Shadow box u will need You Will Need

• FabScraps Summer Colection C50

• DC50004 lighthouse
• DC50025 fun in the sun
• DC50013 beach chair umbrella
• DC50014 seagulls
• DC50015 anchor
• Brown ink, black ink,white kraft ink, red ink, gesso, blue ink, glitter

• fishing net, shells from my stash.

Instructions

1. Paint shadow box with white sanding edges to give an worn look.

2. Cover front edges and inside back with C50007

3. Mix blue paint with gesso and glitter for textured paint, paint on to back cover to create texture to ocean on paper.

4. Create 2 small boxes 8 by 12 scoring at 2 inches to fold and createboxlike shapes to make houses, then cut retangles to fold and create roof using C50002 and C50006 then cut smal contrasting regtangles to create doors.

5. Glue houses to inside flat of shadow box, paint DC50013 white and adhere C50 003 to chair and umbrella , then adhere in between both houses.

6. Ink DC0025 Fun in the sun in black ink and adhere to front bottom left

7. Adhere netting to bottom right and across front, also draping top right and inside top left.

8. Paint DC50004 lighthouse (smaller one) with white and red ink, adhere onto netting on top left then add shells to bottom of lighthouse.

9. Paint DC50015 Anchor in white

This project is now completed.

 

FabScraps Altered Letter G

For This Altered Letter You Will Need

• FabScraps Rustic Collection C48-004
• MCDC03 FabScrap flower from previous collection.
• Lace, brown ink,various flowers from stash
• Gold button for inside flower
• Bling and buckles and crystals for decoration.
• Craft,letter from dollar store

Instructions

1. Covered round Craft dollar store box with C48 Rustic collection

2.Inked all edges of bottom with brown ink

3. Press out flowers from MCDC03 and completed flowers as per directions, adding gold button as center

4.Add Lace to the letter,

5. Glue large FabScrap flower to bottom of letter.

6. Glue various flowers to letter to create a spray.

project completed this letter can be made with any collection of the roses or press out flower collections .
